Mirko Matteo Lamonaca

Born in Milan in 1976, I live and work in Bergamo. Self-taught, after ten years of painting in 2008 I found in photography a better-suited medium for my inspiration. Photography, however, is only a tool to give life to my works, performed using miniature sets. The main themes of my work are urban representations ("The Forgotten Town” series) or, recent project on going, the “ ooms" series that includes three chapters dedicated to photography not only as a medium but even as a subject to discuss about: "The thief of souls", “ almine" and the newest “Giants" set. I exhibited in various Italian towns (Milan, Rome, Ferrara, Genoa, Alessandria) and abroad (Brussels and Berlin) where I worked with some galleries.
